Sendhome is a remittances company that enables legal migrants to send money from South Africa to Africa, in a quick, secure, and dependable way.

Yes, registration is free and simple. Register online or download our app.

  • Download the APP or Click on Get Started to register online
  • o For South African citizens and permanent residents, an RSA green barcoded ID or RSA Smartcard ID is required. For foreign nationals temporarily residing in South Africa, your passport with permits is required.
  • o After you’ve successfully registered, you can make a once-off R2,500 transfer while our team verifies the uploaded documents to ensure FICA compliance. Once completed, you will get a notification informing you that your application has been approved and that you can proceed with your transactions.
  • One off transaction whilst you wait for full verification. Once you have successfully registered, your may do a once-off transfer of R2,500 whilst our team carefully reviews and processes your application. Once completed, you will get a notification informing you that your application has been approved and you can do further remittances.

It is not possible to make transfers on behalf of friends or relatives. Once your account has been verified, we ensure that the transaction is assigned under your name. You may assist a friend or family member to create an account with Sendhome when you click to “Refer a friend”.

Once you register an account with Sendhome, you may send R2,500.00 once-off. You must be completely verified to make future payments. The daily limit is R5,000.00, and the monthly limit is R25,000.00 after your account has been verified.

Any person 18 years of age or older with an RSA green barcoded ID, an RSA Smartcard, or a passport with a work permit, asylum permit, refugee permit, special skills permit, permanent resident permit, etc. Call us at 010 001 4419 and one of our friendly customer service agents will assist you through the simple steps.

Sendhome adheres to the strictest encryption, certificate, and firewall policies. We shall not disclose the information you supply us with any other parties in accordance with the POPI Act. All payments are processed through a PCI DSS-certified gateway.

Zimbabwe is one of the countries to which you can send money. More countries will be added soon.

It is possible under certain situations and only if the recipient has not yet collected the funds. Please keep in mind that you will be charged a processing fee, and the refund may take several days.

Our fees are very competitive. The fee is 5% excluding VAT or as advertised from time to time.

  1. Those who fall under the following “persons with important foreign public status” or those who have occupied government positions previously. To be considered as a political exposed person, you need to occupy one or more of the listed positions at some point in time.
  • Head of State
  • Cabinet Ministers, Premiers, and Deputy Ministers
  • Positions equivalent to the Speaker of Parliament, Speaker of counsel of Provinces, Members of Parliament
  • A position equivalent to a judge of the Supreme Court
  • Positions equivalent to envoys or government representatives
  • Governor or Deputy governor of the Reserve bank
  1. Relatives listed of the above political persons will also be granted the same benefits. Family members to include spouse, parents, children, and siblings.

Cash

  • You can pay in cash at any of the following locations (list to be provided in due course)

Mastercard / Visa

  • You can transfer money from your Visa card to another bank account through the mobile app.

EFT

  • You can make payments directly from the mobile app.

Voucher

  • You can purchase/buy a Flash Voucher and send money by entering the Voucher number.

Based on the collection methods selected by the sender, your recipient will receive a money transaction number as well as collection details. The recipient must provide the collection partner with the money transaction number, expected amount, and identity documents to withdraw the cash.
